Background and aims

The Budapest Soil Health Forum offers an opportunity for scientists and stakeholders involved in soil science and soil management to engage in interactions, knowledge exchange, and networking at a unique scientific event in Budapest on 4 December.

The Forum will host three conferences and panel discussions centred around the same question: “How can we protect our soils for the safety and well-being of human society as well as for the functioning of ecosystems, agricultural production, and forestry?”, but will pursue the answer through a variety of disciplinary lenses.

The Budapest Soil Health Forum will be the sister event of the BIOEAST & Beyond conference , which aims to advocate for increased and targeted public investment in joint research, innovation, and knowledge transfer within the BIOEAST macro-region. The BIOEAST & Beyond conference will start in Budapest the day following the Forum.
